Hi Stupid question, but is the Service Pack 1 for Exchange 2007 free? If so, why is there on the microsoft.com/download (where I can download the SP1) says that "Additional Information Upgrading Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 Evaluation Software to Full Product" What is the difference of SP1 and this one? -AA-

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/bb736128.aspx which is probably where you were and download it. If you install it onto an existing 2007 box you will continue to have a licenced box. If you install SP1 onto a fresh box (It's all slipstreamed so you don't need the RTM media) you'll get an eval and all you do is input the key number after you've finished installing and, yes, patching - there's a rollup patch after SP1.
