2007 - Out of Office
We are just about to provide our users with Outlook & Exchange 2007.

The Out Of Office function is much better in 2007 (I love the fact that it
works with your Smartphone!). I'd like to allow my users to send internal OOF
messages and also OOF messages to accounts on their contacts list.

However, at the moment, I want to be able to prevent them sending OOF
messages to external accounts not on their contacts list. I think this is
dangerous, partly because it lets spammers know the account is genuine, but
also partly because it potentially lets people know they are on holiday, and
so their house is empty, so can be safely broken into. I'd prefer to block
this by policy, because I dont' trust my users to understand the intricacies
of this, until it is too late for them.

So I wondered how I allow them to send OOF to external people on their
contacts list, but block them from being able to send to other external
addresses - by some sort of global policy?

Any help gratefully received.

Cheers

Eric

Im not aware of any. It would be nice if this could be managed by
Group Policy.
