OK, I need to move the public folder instance on the same 2007 SP1 Exchange mailbox server to another Storage group. The steps I have seen are rather disjointed. Basically I have storage group 1 and 2 and due to some stupidity on my part I need to move the Pub folders from SG2 to SG1. Can anyone give a 1 2 3 way to do this? The server is not yet in use but does have replication occuring so whatever I need to do to get this moved to the other SG is fine so long as no Org issues are brought on. Thanks!
The only way to do that is: 1. Create a public folder store on another server (if one doesn't already exist). 2. Add replicas of all folders, including the Schedule+ Free/Busy and Offline Address Book folers, to that server. 3. Wait for replication to complete. 4. Remove the original replica on all folders. 5. Remove the original public store. 6. Create a new public store in the other storage group. 7. Follow steps 1 through 5 except reverse the process to move the folders from the temporary store to the new one on the original server. -- Ed Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
