Public Folder won't mount
I am trying to mount the Public Store for our Exchange server but
having problems. When I try at first a window appears saying "The
store could not be mounted because the Active Directory information
was not replicated yet" and then it gives an option to retry etc.

After I retry I get another windows saying that "The Microsoft
Exchange Information Store could not find the specified object". ID
No: c1041722.

I've looked at permission on Exchange System manager and they seem
fine but yet the Public Store won't mount.

Can anyone help please ?

Many thanks in advance

What version & SP level of Exchange?
What happened just before this problem occurred?

i got the same error after accidentally deleting the public folder object
in active directory. check if the public store object is there and has
legacyexchangedn set correct (after a desaster restore this is often an
error when the legacyexchangedn is different from the original location)

found http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996027(EXCHG.65).aspx
talking about permission issues on the active directory object, seems the
right direction.

First of all thanks very much for your responses.

I had to move it to another folder as the C: Drive was nearly full.
I
moved the relevant files (priv1.edb, prv1.stm, pub1.edb and pub1.stm)
within Exchange System Manager to a new folder on the F: Drive. When
I went to mount them only the Private store mounted.

I am using Exchange 2003 with SP2

Many thanks in advance
