I just recoved an Exchange box from a hardware failure. Ran the Eseutil against the database got all the mail back. The Public store did not recover, and we really dont need what is on it. Can I just turn off the service delete the file and it will ask me to create a new one when I turn the service back on? If anyone has a KB on this process it would be helpful. Thanks. -- Being Wet on the Net Can be an Electrifrying XPerience.
Thats correct, if the Pub.edb is not present it will create a blank new database on restart of the Information Store. -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2008 Microsoft Certified Partner "FloridaDiver" wrote in message news:357B2789-2260-4381-AFBB-53CB558A9657@microsoft.com... >I just recoved an Exchange box from a hardware failure. Thanks. Sometimes we just know these things but it always feels better to have another validate it.
