Is it possible in MS Exchange to have a user's display name show an alias name and/or email address. Example: my email is csolomon@lawlerwood.com. Could I have my outgoing emails show carmen@carmen.com instead of the above? Thanks Cmnsol
Yes but no one could reply to your emails unless you had your own domain name and records setup for carmen.com But you could do carmen@lawlerwood.com and still receive emails for both csoloman@lawlerwood.com and carmen@lawlerwood.com if that is what you want? That is just in the AD under your name then under the email address's tab. Create your new email address ending in @lawlerwood.com and Set which over one you want people to see the emails is from as the Primary address. I mean you could put in carmen@carmen.com, but as i said, people can't reply to it unless you have the domain name carmen.com all setup up with DNS and exchange. Thank you. Is it possible to just have the user name show and not the email address? Example, when I send an email to anyone, can I have the "from" name display to them as just Carmen Solomon and not Carmen Solomon (csolomon@lawlerwood.com)? No, because an email needs to come from somewhere, the email address is there for the receiver to know that the email is legit and came from someone that they know. Cmnsol wrote: >Thank you.
