I have Exchange 2007 working currently. I can send email to user that are setup on exchange but have other user not on exchange. When sending emails to user that have a mailbox its not an issue. It goes to their exchange mailbox but will not deliver to their external email address but when sending to user that do not have a mailbox, it fails. Also if the user with the mailbox is not setup on the exchange server it fails to send the email out. Error user not found. I need for exchange to send the email to their external email address if the user is not on the oxchange. The domain for the internal and external are the same. I also get and error (0x8004010F) Operation failed. Object could not be found when hit the send/receive button in outlook 2003. I can temp. solve the issue but 24 hours later, the issue is back. any help would be appreciated as my knowledge on exchange 2007 in low.
You need to share the SMTP address space. In Exchange Server 2007, this is done by using internal-relay domain (that is, an Accepted Domain that is setup as Internal Relay). I followed all the steps in the document but still no resolution. Still get the same problem. Do I need to setup an edge server? Thanks.
