Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
Anyone,

Ok, here is the issue. SBS 2003 with all service packs and updates.

Employee was terminated and account was deleted from the SBS server.

If I send a calendar invite from another email server to a existing user at
the above SBS server I get a NDR that this user that was deleted cannot be
reached because the user does not exist (This is understandable as we deleted
the account). Even though I sent the invite to another user that does exist
within the SBS server.

Does anyone know where that may have been done in the SBS server? Thanks!

Have you verified your Outlook Auto Cache does not have the deleted user?

Re: Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
John,

It's not internal its external. I get the bounce back from their server (Our
Client). I was using OWA also.

Re: Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
So what exactly is the issue? If you are not sending the invite to the
deleted user then you should not be receiving the NDR.

Re: Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
John,

Your correct, I shouldn't get a bounce back on a non-existant account when
I'm sending it to someone else but we do. It only happens when it's a
calendar invite.

Re: Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
John,

It seems to only happen on certain users as I created a test user and then
sent a calendar invite to that test user. I did not receive a NDR for the non
existant user account.

Re: Calendar Event and Bouce Back from Non Exisiting User Account
So when you send the Appointment Item can you manually type the recipients
SMTP Address and not select it from the GAL or Outlook AutoCache? What
happens?
