Our organization recently purchased licensing to cover us for using Exchange 2007. My question is this... it this licensing backwards compatible for use with 2003? Also will the reg number from the CD work to install 2003 instead of 2007?? I have NO knowledge of Exchange and am having to outsource support for it and the company I am using (local) suggested 2003 because they have not had much experience with 2007 yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated and as quickly as possible too... they are coming in about an hour.
Licensing questions are best answered by Microsoft Licensing professionals. Call your Software vendor where you purchased your Licenses or a Microsoft Certified Partner to answer these questions. As for your consulting company, I would think the customer wants/needs are more important than the consultants. There are many advantanges for moving to Exchange 2007 as opposed to Exchange 2003 and you may actually be costing your company more now by having a consultant that cannot install and support it. Will they provide free upgrade fees when they do learn and support Exchange 2007? Is the company a Microsoft Certified Partner? I am little biased since my company is a Microsoft Certified Partner but the customer comes first. -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2008 Microsoft Certified Partner "Mark Broom" <Mark Broom@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:947BAF69-58E6-44BF-8EF3-3102D46EF902@microsoft.com... > Our organization recently purchased licensing to cover us for using > Exchange > 2007. > > My question is this... it this licensing backwards compatible for use with > 2003?
