Hi, I have an external forest trust with another domain/exchange organization. Is there a way to have both organization's GALs appear in Outlook? I am using Exchange 2003 latest SP Native mode in one organization and Exchange 2003 latest Sp mixed mode in another organization. Thanks, TKE402
There are two ways I can see to do that. The best and easiest way is to implement directory synchronization (options listed below). Another way might be to open LDAP access between the organizations and implement an LDAP address book provider in the Exchange profile. But that won't mesh well with Exchange using MAPI, which is why it's not anywhere near the best alternative. Optionn 3 is probably your bes t option. 1. HP LDAP Directory Synchronization Utility (LDSU) http://h20219.www2.hp.com/services/cache/11212-0-0-0-121.html 2. Microsoft Identity and Integration Server http://www.microsoft.com/miis 3. Identity Integration Feature Pack 1a for Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory (limited but free; for AD-to-AD only) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d9143610-c04d-41c4-b7ea-6f56819769d5&DisplayLang=en 4. SimpleSync http://www.cps-systems.com/ 5. Active Directory Connector (in interorganizational mode) 6. Your own code -- Ed Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
