What role in Exchange 2007 to register the Store Event Sink
I've been developing an store event sink (onsave) in an environment with a
single 64bit Exchange 2007 server holding all the server roles (hub, edge,
mailbox, etc). However, our customer have a cluster, and I know wonder what
server role I have to register the COM+ application on and register the event
sink to users. Is the Mailbox server the right place?

We also wonder if it is possible to register the COM+ application on another
server outside the Exchange servers. I would guess this is not possible?

The production environment also has a Resource Forest Topology, could this
cause any difficulties for registration or execution of the sink?

Hope for quick answers!
Kind regards,
Knut Larsen

Re: What role in Exchange 2007 to register the Store Event Sink
Hello Knut,

the EventSink needs to be installed on the mailbox server. And it must be
installed on the Exchange server.

I don't know of any issues regarding a resource forest topology.

Kind regards,
Henning Krause
