Jetstress... what is it doing?
Folks and Storage Gurus...

I am running JetStress on a new storage subsystem. During the begining 30-40
minutes of the run, it generates about an average of a 350KB block size and a
ton of queuing and intense I/O. After that period, it runs for some time
doing what looks like more traditional Exchange I/O. Then it seems to repeat
the cycle. We are running whte mailbox profile test with autotune set to off
and 12 threads.

What I am really wondering is what is jetstress doing at these intese I/O
moments? Is it preparing the test data? Does that test data get factored out
of the test results when done?

Thanks in advance,
joe
