I have a mailbox on Exchange 2003 and I am using outlook 2007. I introduced two Exchange 2007 CAS servers in my organization. I cannot seem to connect to the auto discover service. I have tried all nws groups and all blogs to see what the issue is but cannot figure it out. I have no certificates except the self signed certificate. My SCP's are configured as https://cas1.corp.local/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml https://cas2.corp.local/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml I can connect to them using a browser. My understanding is this hsould be enough for internal clients , I shouldn't need to do anything beyond this point. But it sdoes work.. I get the following error : FAILED (0x800C8203) so then I decided to do this , which I really think I shouldn't have ot .. I added the following dns https://autodiscover.corp.local/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml and https://autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml It fails to connect to each one of these stupid urls giving out the following errors. (Ox8004005) I am clueless at this point. I think I have an understanding of this suff from all the great blog posts but cannot get my CAS servers to work. What am I doing wrong ? thanks ! SW

You need to have an external dns record added by your service provider for autodiscover so clients can resolve it externally. -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Yes, for any of your clients to use any of the new features of Exchange 2007 they have to be on the Exchange 2007 server, otherwise your Outlook 2003 client will act just like an Outlook 2003 client. -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
