exchange forests consolidation
I need to consolidate two forests and respectively two exchange organizations
e2k3 sp2, but noticed the following:
After a mailbox is moved from one forest to another when you reply to an old
internal e-mail - the message will bounce for the internal recipients because
strings like this one will have no meaning in the new exchange organization:
CN=user name,OU=Users,OU=Technical,OU=X Workstations,OU=C2,DC=domain,DC=com

Is there workaround for such a migration issues? I need to find a way to
consolidate all mailboxes in one organization and it seems internal mail
within exchange is sent not to the e-mail address of the user, but a long
reference as above...

Thanks

RE: exchange forests consolidation
sorry I copied the wrong string - I was refering to "/o=org1
Exchange/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user" - this string
has no meaning in the new exchange organization thus replying to old e-mails
results in bounced messages - any ways around that?

Re: exchange forests consolidation
Add a custom x500 address that matches the string in the NDR.
