2 Virtual Servers CAS
How do I create an additional Exchange Virtual server on an Exchange 2007
Client Access Server? For example, I want two IP addresses and FQDN bound
to CAS/IIS such as Webmail.Company.com for OWA and Mobile.company.com for
Active Sync?

Thanks

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
Is the goal here to have two Public A Records for both webmail and mobile
each having there own Static IP? Trying to understand what your trying to
accomplish here.

That is correct.

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
Ok, so why are you needing two VS's? Both A Records can be created using
the same Public IP. I f you have the available Public IP's then you can
create two A Record, one for each IP. Not sure reasoning for having two
vs's as you only need one this case.

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
What about the SSL Certificate? Lets say I have two FQDN such as
mobile.companyx.com and webmail.companyx.com. How would I bind both certs
to the CAS IIS? Assuming this is the reason for both Certificates? Also if
I was using ISA to publish the CAS, I want one Exchange virtual server for
external access with forms based auth turned off and one which could be
reached internally with forms based auth enabled. So in gernal, independent
of the solution, can you create to Exchange virtual servers with Exchange
2007.

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
Yes, you can create independent VS's. If you are going to have multiple
SAN's in your domain such as mobile. mail. autodiscover. etc. a Unified
Communciations Cert would be the best solution. Go Daddy has a UCC that is
very affordable of which I use currently on my system.

Good explaination of Exchange 2007 Certs,

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
I have a quesiton around these lines...

I am not sure where and how I should expose the "autodiscover"
service ?

Currently I have mail.co.com pointing to a public address and everyone
inside/outside hits it using the public address ?

if i go the SAN cert route the same will happen for
autodiscover.co.com and oab.co.com ? i.e. a machine on the internal
network will hit it using a public Ip address.....is this a good
thing ? Bad thing ? I dont know.......

Can someone help me.

Re: 2 Virtual Servers CAS
Since it an SSL Certificate then its very secure since the connection is
encrypted. SAN Cert or UCC uses Port 443 as a normal SSL Cert. Think of
the SAN Cert as an SSL Cert that allows multiple domains on one Cert.
