Front-End 2003 back-end 2007 workable?   
We are going to upgrade the back-end server to 2007.  But the front-end 
server is a 2003 server.  Will be any issue with this configuration?

It wont work and not supported  :)

If you have 2007 mailboxes, you need a 2007 CAS.

You can have however 2007 CAS servers and 2003 and 2007 backends.
