Consolidation of exchange 2003
I have a one 2003 and two 2000 exchange servers consolidating into one new
domain.
I need to stage the process so moving all new users to the new domain at the
same time is not a reality but they want to have the same email. I have the
forwarding working for multiple domains using a single email domain name so
that is not a problem. I want to know, should I move them users to the new
domain, including their mailboxes (having them log into the new domain) or
move the mailboxes, have them login across the trust from the old domain into
the new domain for email purposes only. The latter would require less
initial work due to permissions for file sharing would not need to
immediately change.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
