I have a Windwos 2003 domain (two domain controllers-both GCs) and a single Exchange 2003 SP2 server. When I shutdown one of my DCs, users lose connectivity with the mail server, despite the fact that there is another DC/GC still running. Any ideas?
- Check the DSAccess tab of the server's properties in ESM - have you manually selected a GC/DC, bypassing the process used by DSAccess to discover and use these? - Also run ExBPA and see if it flags anything. -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------------------------- "Rdgwalker" wrote in message news:09D7E7F0-89A4-40FF-B1F0-5533FF63D81B@microsoft.com... >I have a Windwos 2003 domain (two domain controllers-both GCs) and a single > Exchange 2003 SP2 server. Both domain controllers are listed as GCs--they were added automatically, not manually. What is ExBPA? Hello, I have exactly the same issue here. Both DCs are listed in ESM, both DCs are GCs. It seems the first DC (DC1), holds something extra, as when DC2 is down, Exchange still functions. However when DC1 goes down, no connectivity is possible. I have run the ExPBA tool, and can't find much. Any more input on this would be appreciated?
