High Availability Option - Exchange 2003
We have been running Ex03 for 3 years with no issue. We recently added a
front-end server to allow OWA from the Internet as well as smart phone
access. I am planning the replacement of the back-end server. We do not
want to go to 2007 yet. We want to make the availability and fault tolerence
as high as possible within our budget. We are getting good hardware but not
able to do clustering. We have the database on a SAN and logs on seperate
spindles of the back-end server. If the back-end server would totally crash
could we use the front-end server to get the system backup as quick as
possible? If this would happen the Internet OWA and smart phone access is of
low priorty.
