We have a client with one front-end server connecting to multiple back-ends in multiple countries. I'd like to implement an additional front-end in another country, add an entry for it to their MX record with a higher costing and leave both in place, one to act as a redundant backup in case one of their ISPs goes down (it's happened before)...is this possible ? Can an Exchange organization have multiple front-end servers ? Many thanks.
You can have multiple Front Ends yes, we have 8 here, soon to be 9 - serving 3 clustered backends.
