Exchange 2003 owa publish in ISA 2004
Hi,

i have a new ISA 2004 and Exchange server FE and BE. I read some articles
that with ISA 2004 is best to place the Exchange FE to internal.

1) So is that ok that my 2 exchnage in the internal. ISA will have 2 NICs
card (internal and external).

2) For ISA to publish SSL OWA, i would like to know for the external DNS to
publish the OWA host record(example: https:\\owa.exchange.org). The "owa"
host/A record, the IP should be the ISA IP or the Exchange FE address?

The A record has to be the ISA because the FE is only going to have a
private (internal) IP address and will be completely inacessible
directly.

Re: Exchange 2003 owa publish in ISA 2004
Hi,

OK. but without the ISA, the FE is having the private IP but will be NAT to
a public IP. which is this currently the external IP for my FE is the mx
record, so after placing my new ISA, the mx record have to change/point to
ISA public IP too?

If my FE has a translated public IP, can i point the A record of the 'owa'
to this FE public IP? will that work?
