Hi I have a server installed with windows server2003, exchange 2003, sharepoint and ISA 2004 some other services like dns, dhcp and wins. This server is located in our single tier network and is connected to the internet. The server is overloaded and i am planning to move some of the services out and Exchange is one of them. I have a new hardware allocate for the new exchange server. How do i go about moving the exchange 2003 server to another hardware? Thanks Mark
- Install Exchange on new server - it'll install it in the first administrative group by default. - Move mailboxes, replicate public folders. Follow KBA 833931. - Shut down Exchange services on the first box for a couple of days, if all looks good uninstall Exchange on that box. - May need to configure ISA to forward inbound smtp to the new box (and make any changes to your external DNS, if required). -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: www.exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------------------------- "Marc" wrote in message news:B8C71E10-CB1A-4EEE-8F0D-BC642E96303D@microsoft.com... > Hi > > I have a server installed with windows server2003, exchange 2003, > sharepoint > and ISA 2004 some other services like dns, dhcp and wins.
