Do all GCS's have to be updated? It says in the white paper "all GCS acting as back-end exchange servers". ??? what is a gcs acting as a backend server?
Most likely that should be all GCs BEs will contact. problem is that we have over 200 dc/gcs'. i was hoping i wouldn't have to update every one.

no the exchange servers are in there own site. there are 6 dc's/gcs server there (2 per domain). there are hundred of other sites. many with their own gcs
