i have more than 10 different sites in single OU. Existing Setup nt 4.0 with Exchange 5.5 sp4. new setup windows 2003 sp1 & exchange 2003 sp2. i join one exchage site for installing new exchange 2003 . mY question is for other site should i join to first sites where i join my first exchange server 2003 . or remote end site where my existing nt 4.0 and exchange 5.5. i want best solution. if i join remote end server to their site then after migrating all 10 sites i have to remove all ADC connector delete all Exchange connection Agreements . after that i have change mode from from mixed mode to native mode then i can move anywhere my server
Sandeep, I think your question is whether or not to join to existing site or not. If that's the case, then the answer is that it depends. :) If you want to be able to move user mailboxes and public folders using the native tools that come with the ESM, then you'll need to join an Exchange K3 server to each 5.5 site. If you plan to use some other migration toolset (ADMT?) then you can join it to the original site and migrate the remaining user and PF data.
