Hi Guys we are running Win 2000 Domain with Exchange 2000. We also have Solaris box with Sendmail that forwards incoming emails to Exchange [using .forward file]. We are planning to install Exch 2003 on Win Srv 2003 machine and to move users from Exch 2000. The upgrade is not possible as Exch 2000 is on the machine that is running out of space. New machine will be purchase with enough space to act as stand alone server with Exch 2003. What will be correct way of archiving our goal? -Installing Exch 2003 on new machine and moving mailboxes from Exch 2000. This sounds too simple to be true. My concern is coexistence of Exchange 2000 and 2003 is same domain. Is there anything we need to pay special attention? Thank you very much? - Exchange 2000 & 2003 will happily co-exist for as long as you want - Yes, it is as simple as moving mailboxes, replicating public folders - If you're planning to remove the old Exchange 2000 server, make sure you follow kba 307917 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307917 - Shut down the old server for a couple of day, if all looks good (things to check: mail flow, free/busy info when scheduling meetings, offline address book downloads), uninstall Exchange from the old server -- Bharat Suneja MCSE, MCT www.zenprise.com blog: www.suneja.com/blog ----------------------------------------- "zarko" wrote in message news:op.s7gfjiqeboqtfj@mars.vad.local... > Hi Guys > > we are running Win 2000 Domain with Exchange 2000.
