Exchange 2003 Public folders problem
Hello,
I have a problem with an Exchange Server 2003 Ent. (IBM Blade Server -
Windows Server 2003) with 2 CPUs and 2 Gb of RAM.
Because of the 2Gb of RAM the boot.ini and the Registry have been modified
according to Microsoft's guidelines (/3GB e.t.c.).
(How to optimize memory usage in Exchange Server 2003:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815372/en-us)
The Databases and Transaction Logs exists on a Large SAN. Raid 1 for Logs,
10 disks-Raid 5 for Mailboxes and 10 disks-Raid 5 for Public folders.
The sizes of the Databases are: 25GB-Mailboxes, 24GB-Public folders.
The Public folders contain a large amount of mail items.
The problem is: Very slow performance of Public folders.
Here is the result of Microsoft's EXPTA (Performance Troubleshooting
Analyzer Tool):
      Miscellaneous Performance Health Checks
       Memory and Processor Counter Data

MSExchangeIS Exchmem: Number of heaps with memory errors should be 0.
The measured number is 7.
MSExchangeIS Exchmem: Number of memory errors should be 0. The
measured number is 49147.
The server exmail is exhibiting a memory bottleneck.
The average number of megacycles of processor required per RPC
operation on this server is 18,52 MC/RPC Operation.

Any help will be appreciated.
