Hi, I need clarification on setup for a migration from sendmail. We will be operating in a co-existing environment while we perform the phased migration. The mx record points to the send mail server which will forward to an @local domain when a user has been configured for exchange. I am using article 319759 to configure for forein messaging system. I am unsure if I should be using an smtp connector to forward all mail through the bridgehead (sendmail server) if exchange is the last system in the chain. Clarification much appreciated! Laurie
You can also use a smarthost using the SMTP Virtual Server. If you want to select multiple smarthosts you should use SMTP connectors. Question you should ask yourself is.... Do you have multiple Sendmail servers you want to act as the gateway during the coexistance. I prefer using the Virtual Server when I can. -- Jonathan No Warrenties Implied, Did you do a FULL backup today??????
