Design info for enabling Active Sync for PPC over the internet
I am looking at enabling Active Sync on Pocket PCs presently connecting to
the internet via GPRS (this might be going 3g soon) I cannot find any
information on how this works. What ports to I need to open in my firewall?
How do I secure the connection between PPC and Exchange BE server? Can I use
SSL? Can I use ISA publishing? Can anyone give me a link to document that
explains how to set this up? I'd be grateful, 'cos I cannot find one.
Thanks.

RE: Design info for enabling Active Sync for PPC over the internet
The default is 80 HTTP and 443 SSL

There are several ways to secure this, most people use Front-End servers to
proxy it to the backends using SSL. ISA is one of the products that can
publish this service in a DMZ type environment.

To use ISA you will need to create the appropriate rules. You can find a
few good articles on http://www.isaserver.org

Feel free to respond with more specific questions.
