Installed another Exchange 2003. Cant send e-mail to outside world
Hi,

We have a small business server 2003 with exchange 2003. All service
packs/hot fixes installed.

On another site we installed a new windows server 2003 R2 with Exchange
Server 2003 Enterprise. After that I moved one mailbox from the SBS server to
the new server. All went fine.

- I can logon with Outlook Web Access on the new server on the moved mailbox.
- I can send e-mail to other people inside the company. (including people on
the other exchange server)
- I can recieve e-mail from internet.

But, I cant send e-mail from the moved mailbox on the new server to Internet.

I get a error:
test@hotmail.com på 2008-05-08 11:22
Ett problem med SMTP-kommunikationen med mottagarens e-postserver har
uppstått. Kontakta systemadministratören.
  <kbs-dc.kibs.local #5.5.0 smtp;554 <test@hotmail>: Relay access denied>

(kbs-dc.kibs.local = the new server)

Can someone help me please?

Regards,
Peter

Do you have an SMTP Connector setup or just using SMTP Virtual Server on the
SBS Box? Any Connection restrictions on the Connector or SMTP VS?

Re: Installed another Exchange 2003. Cant send e-mail to outside w
On the SBS Box:
There is a "SmallBusiness SMTP connector". That existed before I added the
new exchange server.
The properties shows the following things
"Use DNS to route to each address space on this connector"
One local bridgehead: "KBN-DC" = SBS Box
One adress space: Type="SMTP" Address=* Cost=1
Connected Routing Groups: <empty>
No delivery restrictions

The new exchange server also have a "Smallbusiness SMTP connector". The
properties on that shows the following things
"Use DNS to route to each address space on this connector"
One local bridgehead: "KBN-DC" = SBS Box
One adress space: Type="SMTP" Address=* Cost=1
Connected Routing Groups: <empty>
No delivery restrictions
The properties on the new exchange server

Both servers have a SMTP Virtual Server
Both allow connection from everyone.
Both allow relay from each other.
