Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
My users are unable to send email out to receiptients at attglobal.net. We
don't filter outgoing mails.

There are NDR generated with Status:4.4.7. Action Delayed

It says "Could not deliver the message in the time limit specified"

It sits in the Queue on the exchange server.

My users can send out any other outside receiptients.. Please advise.

What kind of Broadband ciruit do you have? Do you have and SPF record for
your domain? Do you have a Reverse PTR Record for your IP?

Re: Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
there was change made to our infrastructure. We got some T1 lines put in. We
still keep the DSL line as well.

We don't have SPF implemented in our environment.

how do i go about verifying if there's a reverse PTR for our IP???? Thx in
advance.

Re: Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
I used the free lookup tool..

The result shows ip address.in-addr.arp domain name xxx.mydomain.com. Does
it mean that the reverse ptr exists for the IP address of the sending
server.???

Re: Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
Telnet from your exchange server into the attglobal.net mail server and see
what it says from the console. Sometimes you can get more info that way.

Re: Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
I'm going to guess this is where you receive your mail.
mta.lfgloan.com 208.70.119.243

Is this your sending server?
 Name: exchange.lfgloan.com
 Address: 207.195.181.7
This address does NOT have a PTR record.

Re: Cannot send emails to attglobal.net
First off, I made a mistake. You do have a PTR record.
Non-authoritative answer:
240.119.70.208.in-addr.arpa name = mta1.lfgloan.com

Next, I used NSLookup which is built into any Windows machine.
From a command prompt, type in NSLookup and hit enter.
