Messages not going to Windows-Mobile Device
Hello everyone,

When a user connect his mobile device to Exchange, he doesn't get to see the
body of the messages, until they're being read in Outlook or OWA. Only then
he receives them on his mobile device.

Anybody any clues ?

Robert

Hi Robert,

this issue is probably due to Antivirus configuration! In particular to
backgroud scanning!

You have to enable background scanning of antivirus and this should solve
your problem.

Bye, Matteo.

Re: Messages not going to Windows-Mobile Device
Hi

We are experiencing the same problem – with Activesync versus Exchange 2003
(Front-End, Back-End Exchange 2003 Standard Edition)
No messages are downloaded to mobile devices, but all other functions seem
to work.

I have tried to deactivate all AntiVirus services (CA eTrust) – but it made
no difference.

Note: This problem appeared just a few weeks ago. Activesync have worked
fine before, so we do not understand why this problem appeared. We have not
upgraded or reconfigured any systems in Exchange – no hotfixes have been
installed.

Were running W2K3 SP1, tried upgrading to SP2 – but this made no difference
on the problem.

Re: Messages not going to Windows-Mobile Device
It was due to groupshield scanning in the background.
