Exchange 2003 RPC/HTTPS connection issues
Hello,
I have been having a problem with Exchange and RCP/HTTPS for a while. I
cannot figure it out. We have two back end Exchange servers 2003 with SP2.
Three Front End servers 2003 SP2 behind a Cisco CSS load balancer. Two
Server 2003 DC/GC servers. Often times during the day remote users connected
with Outlook through RPC/HTTPS get disconnected and cannot reconnect.
Sometimes there is a brief disconnection that automatically reconnects.
Sometimes the Outlook screen dims and the server cannot be reconnected.
Outlook needs to be forced shut and re-opened. Sometimes the Outlook.exe
process remains running and needs to be killed before it will open.
Using the Microsoft Exchange Connection Status screen I often see many
failures with the directory server. For example right now I have 14/10
req/fail with an average response near 1400. Could the server be timing out
the connections based on this? Any other ideas for me to look at?

Thank you.
