Hi, I've Windows Server 2003 with SP2 and Exchange 2003 SP2. Exchange Server is configured with SSL. The mobile phone is a HTC Touch running Windows Mobile 6. I'm getting the error 0x85010004, saying my account on Exchange Server doesn't have permission to syncronize with my actual definitions (free translation from portuguese). I should contact my Exchange server administrator (myself). (It's the first time I tried to syncronize a mobile device with exchange...) I looked at internet trying to find a solution. The only one I could find didn't worked. They say the problem is caused because Exchange virtual directory is requiring SSL. The solution can be remove the SSL requirement or create a new exchange-oma virtual directory based on the Exchange virtual directory and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MasSync\Parameters\ExchangeVDir to "/exchange-oma". I tryied both but the problem remains exactly the same. I also set the sugested at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/215383, but nothing. I other article I read that Microsoft had a not realeased fix to solve the problem. I don't remember where I saw it, but the had a link to ask the fix from Microsoft that I followed. Microsoft responded that the article in question hasn't any fix on the resolution. That because the link referes the KB215383 instead of the probably correct they intend to. Can someone help me on this? Thanks. Regards, Pedro Gonçalves
Hi, did you try without SSL? is it working? if it`s working without SSL you should solve using exchange-oma virtual directory, check the creation of this Vdir following steps described in KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817379 "Pedro Gonçalves" wrote in message news:5A44B55A-A31E-43AF-A763-7EBFA715662C@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I've Windows Server 2003 with SP2 and Exchange 2003 SP2. > Exchange Server is configured with SSL. > > The mobile phone is a HTC Touch running Windows Mobile 6. > > I'm getting the error 0x85010004, saying my account on Exchange Server > doesn't have permission to syncronize with my actual definitions (free > translation from portuguese).
