Messages rejected from outside only
Exchange server 2003 Windows SBS 2003. All internal email works, any email
from outside gets rejected with "5.7.1 Message Rejected." No filtering is
enabled. I can connect to the server through telnet, I can get to the data
portion of the session, but when I send the mail I get the error. I have
checked all the settings on the SMTP virtual server and all looks good. No
bad event logs, with full logging enabled. The SMTP log just ends at the
DATA portion. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Re: Messages rejected from outside only
Running any firewall or using a Smarthost? Double check your Default
Recipient Policy. What is your domain? Can you post the entire NDR?

Re: Messages rejected from outside only
This is the NDR:

Your message was rejected by mail.ari2000.com for the following reason:

     5.7.1 Message rejected.

The following recipients did not receive this message:

No windows firewall, no smart host. The default recipient policy is
correct. This just started out of the blue.

Thank you.

Re: Messages rejected from outside only
Greg, have you allowed the anonymous users permission group access to the
receive connector?

Cheers,

Tim
