We have just installed a new Exchange 2007 server and now want to start migrating all our users over from pop accounts. I plan to change our MX record for our abc.org domain to point to our new server. Then what I want to do is as new mail comes in, if no exchange mailbox exist for the user, the message should be forwarded back out to our ISP to the users POP account. Is this possible? Is there another way to do this? thanks, pf
Hi, you can check the following Kb , I think you can configure your domain as internal relay and create Send connector from your Hub server to your ISP SMTP server. Managing Accepted Domains http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124423(EXCHG.80).aspx -- Tarek Ismail
Yea I've looked at several KBs on this. So would I have to have two Accepted Domains (1 being authoritative and one being an external relay)? Forgive me if these are basic questions, Exchange is new for us. thanks, pf "Tarek Ismail" wrote: > Hi, > > you can check the following Kb , I think you can configure your domain as > internal relay and create Send connector from your Hub server to your ISP > SMTP server. > > Managing Accepted Domains > http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124423(EXCHG.80).aspx > > -- > Tarek Ismail >
