Can someone help me with this issue? I have an Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2003 server setup in a coexistance. Right now there are very few users on Exchange 2007, most people are sitll on Exchange 2003. From what I find now is that people who are sending out mail are getting NDR reports that state #555 user@domain.com does not designate IP address (ip of exchange 2007) as permitted sender, message rejected What is going on and how can I fix it? Thanks Dan
Look at the SPF record - any time you add new hosts to send outbound mail, you'll need to make sure the SPF record reflects that. nslookup -type=TXT yourdomain.com (Perform the above query against from outside your firewall or against the name server hosting the external DNS zone for your domain). - Options: 1. Route outbound through the Exchange Server 2003 server - remove any Send Connectors for address space * from Exchange Server 2007. 2. Add the Exchange Server 2007 server to the SPF record http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/content/technologies/senderid/wizard/ -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: exchangepedia.com/blog --------------------------- "Daniel P.
