I am running Exchange 2003 wih the latest sp's Recently I added a device that want to send mail via SMTP through the exchange server. I told the device to use the ip address of the Exchange server. The device Send correctly however anything addressed out side the local domain is not delivered. Example if my local domain is foo.com all sends will go there however if the send is to the foo2.com that is not in my local doman the send will never arrive. I need some pointers as to where to start fixing this situation Thank you in advance...

Go to the properties of your Virtual SMTP Server in Exchange System Manager. In the relay properties (note - NOT connection - RELAY) add the IP address of the device itself to the "allowed to relay" list.
