Can't connect to Exchange 2007 through VPN
Hi all!

I misposted this question to a wrong group, so I'm repeating it here:

I use a VPN connection from my home (PC with WinXP) to my company
servers (Windows 2003).

Using an account for e-mail (from Outlook 2003 to Exchange 2007) I get
the error message that Exchange server can't be reached. The server on
which Exchange 2007 resides, can be pinged from my home PC, I can see
all my network drives and folders on several servers (including the
Exchange server), so VPN is working correctly. While establishing the e-
mail account, when I specify the name (I don't have to specify the IP
number) pressing the Check name (my username) button even accepts and
confirms my account as a valid one on the Exchange.

What should I do to be able to connect to Exchange?

TIA,
Primoz

Hi,

You could try to add the netbios name of the exchange server to your lmhosts
file (it sounds as a name resolution problem).

Re: Can't connect to Exchange 2007 through VPN
Hi, Leif,

thanks for your answer. I tried to include the name of Exch Server into
lmhosts, but it didn't help. I guess something should be done on our ISA
server firewall.

Thanks,
Primoz
