Re: Step by Step guide installing Standby Cluster Replication
If you want to use the server in Location2 as a standalone/non-clustered
server:
- Setup Exchange Server 2007 on the server in Location 2.
- Ensure the same path(s) used for Storage Groups (Transaction Log and
Database path(s)) on the CCR cluster in Location1 are available on server in
Location2
- Enable Standby Continuous Replication using Enable-StorageGroupCopy with
the -StandbyMachine parameter:
How to Enable Standby Continuous Replication for an Existing Storage Group
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691015(EXCHG.80).aspx

If you want to use the server as a single-node cluster (cannot install Hub &
CAS roles on a cluster node):
- Setup single-node cluster (option of adding a second node now or at a
later time)
- Install Exchange Server 2007 (using command-line setup)
- Do not use the option to setup a Clustered Mailbox Server in the cluster
- Ensure the same paths are available
- Enable Standby Continuous Replication using Enable-StorageGroupCopy

Verify replication status:

Familiarize yourself with the recovery options (activating SCR target):
