Hi we have a active passive Exchange 2003 cluster. I have added a name to the reject messages from in the delivery restriction fields on the SMTP connector. However it is not working. I have read you have to stop and star the routing service and the SMTP service for this changes to become active. Do I need to restart the Routing and SMTP service on the active Node. Rather than from the cluster name. -- Phillip Sanderson
Hi, Delivery Restrictions are not enforced by default - even if you select users to the add/deny lists on the actual SMTP connector itself. Ensure this reg key is enabled on the bridgehead servers for the connector: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/277872 Ensure you read section: Cause thoroughly so you understand why it is turned off by default and the possible implications if turned on (although for just one user I would say impact is negible.
