New Job -- Exchange 2007
I just started a new job with a company that just installed Exchange 2007
SP1. The enviroment is a Windows 2003 cluster and a single Edge/Transport
server.

Since I'm new to the job and did not set it up, what do you suggest as my
first steps to uncover any gotachas... I ran the Exchange Baseline
Analyizer, no issues were found.

Thanks....

Re: New Job -- Exchange 2007
Only the mailbox role can be clustered (MSCS) so I assume that is what's
clustered. You need a CAS and HUB role at a minimum, so I would guess that
is a CAS/HUM/EDGE or CAS/HUB (you don't necessarially need an edge; many
designs don't include one). I'd start by understanding the exchange roles
in the environment, AD components on which exchange depends and message flow
inbound/outbound.

Re: New Job -- Exchange 2007
It can't be CAS/HUB/EDGE. Edge cannot be combined with any other roles.

Re: New Job -- Exchange 2007
Good point. My guess would be a HUB/CAS. You can't put those role on an
MSCS cluster.
