We are experiencing an issue with our Exchange 2003 Cluster and Cisco Call Manager Unity deployment (version 4.2(3)sr3a). Functionality wise everything is fine except for the message waiting lamp on the end user IP phones (C7960) which is not working. We performed several rounds of packet capturing and found that the when Exchange is responding to Cisco Unity it is replying back from the actual "Cluster owning host " and not the virtual host and this is what appears to be causing the issue. I realize this is not a Cisco Unified messaging group but I am hopeful that some of you with Exchange clustering experience may have some insights on how to resolve this issue. Appreciate any advice. Thank you.
Have you asked Cisco for their recommendation? CCM is up to 6.x now. We initially escalated this issue to Cisco TAC who, after some investigation, suggested we esclate to Microsoft as it appears to be a cluster related issue. Yes, we may upgrade to CCM6 next year but we had to deploy as 4.2 due to a migration issue and also supporting Call center staff.
