Hello, I've been running simple Exchange organizations since version 5.5. I curently have a customer interested in moving their existing Exchange 2k3 environment to a 2007 Clustered setup. The environment is VERY simple: 75 Users... 1 Mailbox Store server with 4 Mailbox stores. 1 Front-end OWA server. Obviously, this isn't a highly complicated environment. They are looking at clustering as email is a business critical application. Without wading through a million pages of Exchange design work, can someone point me in the right direction of where to begin? Troy
- Look at implementing CCR. 2 Nodes + File Share Witness (a shared folder that can be located on any server in the Domain, but recommended on the Hub Transport) - Clustered Mailbox Server role doesn't co-exist with other roles, so to replicate your environment you would need at least 1 server that has Hub Transport and CAS server roles assigned. - If budgets are not a constraint, for high availability the recommendation would be to go with 2 servers (with CAS + HT roles). - The CAS is equivalent of your Front-End server - The HT server is the equivalent of a Bridgehead server High Availability http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124721(EXCHG.80).aspx -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------- "Troy Bruder" wrote in message news:O7cG7LhjIHA.6032@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Hello, > > I've been running simple Exchange organizations since version 5.5.
