Ok, I set up a second exchange server to migirate my users to. I am trying to test to make sure everything is working alright with delivery and sending and what not. But I migrated a test user from the old Exchange to the new Exchange and I am getting this error when i send to this test account test2 test2 on 3/14/2008 4:56 PM This message was rejected due to the current administrative policy by the destination server. Please retry at a later time. If that fails, contact your system administrator. The test account can send outside emails but can not receive them. They seem to get stuck on the Queue on the old email server not making a connection to the new one. Any ideas?
You checked if your connector allows old exchange to sent to new. Your old is a 2003 ? -- Tico "Toby" wrote: > Ok, I set up a second exchange server to migirate my users to. On the SMTP VSI on the old server do you have a SMARTHOST listed? i.e. is the ISP SMTP relay listed there?
Both servers are listed under the local bridge head under the Internal SMTP Connector. I am having a similar issue. My current setup is an Old Exchange 2000 server that was the only e-mail server. Added a SBS 2003 to the network. On the old server the setup I have is a: ISP SMTP routing connector with my ISP Smarthost on the SMTP PROTOCOL is setup to send to the ISP. I am able to send mail from the New Server to the Old Server recipients , cannot do it vice versa. I see the New server in the Queue of the old server trying to send to the New Server. The VSI on the New server does not have a Smart host, but it was added to the ISP CONNECTOR in the first routing group as an addition to the Local Bridgehead. I am able to send out to external address from both servers, but unable to reply to recipients on the New Server I also attempted setup the router to send all port 25 traffic to the new server and I am not able to send mail to the new users on the new server. Not sure what I am doing wrong. "Mark Arnold [MVP]" wrote: > On Mon, 17 Mar 2008 10:19:02 -0700, Toby > wrote: > > >Ok, I set up a second exchange server to migirate my users to.
