NLB error using single NIC multicast
I have set up NLB on two Windows 2008 servers to load balance the CAS role.
I used a single NIC in multicast mode and have added a static ARP entry on
the Cisco L3 switch and all appears to work well. However I get an error
message every time I launch the NLB management tool saying things may not
work as expected with a single NIC. Can anyone elaborate on what this error
means as I can't find any detail on it? What will not work properly when
using a single NIC in this scenario?

The biggest issue that you have with Multicast is that not all equipment
supports multicast of non-mulicast IP addresses. The best practice, when it
comes to NLB, is to have two NICs and to use unicast. Unicast will work in
all environments.

For more info on unicast vs. multicast, you might want to refer to this
