Cluster Failover Notification - via Email
Has anyone created a script to notify someone via email that a cluster node
failed over to the other node?

Re: Cluster Failover Notification - via Email
MOM/System Center Ops Mgr. can do this; so can products like ELM Enterprise
Manager from TNT Software
(http://www.tntsoftware.com/products/Common_ELM/ClusterServer.aspx).

Hope this helps.

Re: Cluster Failover Notification - via Email
Look into using WMI subscriptions that can fire a script that can send a
message...

Re: Cluster Failover Notification - via Email
So do MOM/System Center and ELM Enterprise Manager. I wasn't trying to say
that is all they do; they also do much much more.

Re: Cluster Failover Notification - via Email
You can also setup a generic application/script resource in your cluster to
do this. See MSKB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260527 for an example how
to do this.
