SCC and CCR
Thinking about SCC and CCR cluster for Exchange 2007
Active server will be SCC cluster and Passive server will be single DAS
server in CCR. appreciate your thoughts on this model.
what is bandwidth requirement for SCR cluster?

Thank you

Re: SCC and CCR
SCC + SCR or CCR + SCR. SCC + CCR isn't valid.

SCC requires one copy of the data and is similar to what we do with Exchange
2003 clustering. CCR has two copies of the data, which provides some added
protection against hardware failure (if the two copies are on different
storage) that SCC does not. The cost is, of course, twice the storage.
Either way, SCR to the DR site provides yet another copy of the data in a
different physical location for added protection and recoverability.

Re: SCC and CCR
Thank you for the post.

would it be possible to do CCR with SCC, means active server will be SCC and
passive server will be another SCC. in that scenario how the heart beat
works. all four nodes will be connected to private newtork. when it comes to
failure on Active SCC cluster how Passive cluster reacts?
want to inlcude drawing, but no option for attachemnts here.

Thank you
SSV

Re: SCC and CCR
Hi SSV,

It is not possible to do that. You cannot have SCC and CCR in the same
cluster.
