SCC and SCR
We currently have a two node Single Copy Exchange 2007 SP1 cluster.
Is it possible to keep it as is, and add SCR to it? We'd like to have a
replica of it in our DR site.

Re: SCC and SCR
- Yes, SCR supports that scenario
- SCR source and target can be clustered (SCC/CCR) or standalone

Re: SCC and SCR
Before you continue to do this new deployment, make sure you have well
considered the following questions.

1. What is your WAN link?
2. How big the replication will be?
3. What is the server load currently?
4. What is the RPO and RTO target?

Re: SCC and SCR
Just a quick note:

If the SCR target server is a stand-alone server, then your DR recovery
method will have to be "database portability".

If the SCR target server is a standby cluster, then your DR recovery method
can be "RecoverCMS", which allows the standby cluster to take ownership of
the Clustered Mail Server's original identity.

Re: SCC and SCR
If the SCR target is a standalone that does not host its own production
mailboxes, and you've lost the entire source server, you can use Setup
/m:RecoverServer to recover the standalone source Mailbox server on the
target.
