Why should we backup the quorum drive when we can reset the quorum log and recreate a new one?

I have always said that you don't need to back it up. It is easy to fix and there isn't any data of value in the quorum log that you just have to have. If your quorum disk bites it, it is easy to create a new LUN, or use MNS, start the cluster service with the /fixquorum switch, get the new quorum up and running, stop the cluster service, remove the /fixquorum switch, start the cluster service back up and away you go. -- Russ Kaufmann MVP - Windows Server - Clustering ClusterHelp.com, a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner Web http://www.clusterhelp.com Blog http://msmvps.com/clusterhelp The next ClusterHelp classes are: Dec 10 - 13 in Denver Jan 18 - 31 in Denver
