Creating additional Mailbox store in Exch2k3 Cluster
Hi all,
Is it possible to create a second information store (ie mailbox store)
within a clustered exchange 2003 environment. And if so, is this store
created from within Exchange system attendant, or within the cluster manager?
Cheers.

Re: Creating additional Mailbox store in Exch2k3 Cluster
You will have the Enterprise version of Exchange for an EVS.

Thus you can have 4 Storage Groups with 5 stores per SG for a total of 20
databases.

So as long as you haven't hit this limit (sounds like you only have the *1*
so i'm guessing you haven't) then yes you can.

In regards to where you create it, open Exchange System Manager drill down
to the Server and then either create a new mailstore, or create a second
Storage Group and place the mailstore in this. Bare in mind it's considered
best practice to stripe stores across Storage Groups, although this isn't
entirely necessary in all cases, VMMV.
